These terms apply when a customer uses the AutoSourceSA portal to request, source, purchase or arrange delivery of vehicle parts. Unless stated otherwise in a particular offer, the customer-facing transaction is with AutoSourceSA, which sources from approved suppliers and manages the commercial transaction.
You must provide accurate account, vehicle, VIN, part and delivery information. Because vehicle parts can differ by model year, engine, derivative, production date and VIN, incorrect or incomplete information can affect compatibility. AutoSourceSA may ask for additional photographs, measurements or technical confirmation before finalising an offer.
A sourcing request is not itself a sale. AutoSourceSA may approach one or more approved suppliers privately. Supplier identities, supplier costs and AutoSourceSA margin are confidential commercial information. The customer receives an AutoSourceSA offer showing the customer price, condition, available warranty information, delivery charge and expected lead time.
Before accepting an offer, the customer should review the vehicle/part description, condition, price, delivery charge, warranty wording and lead time and correct any mistake. The portal is designed to allow review before final acceptance.
Prices are in South African Rand unless expressly stated otherwise. The offer should show the full customer price, including delivery and other disclosed fees. VAT will only be charged and identified as VAT if the AutoSourceSA contracting entity is VAT registered and legally entitled to charge it.
Where online payment is enabled, payment is processed through an approved secure payment provider. An order is treated as paid only after AutoSourceSA receives or verifies successful payment. A supplier purchase order should be released only after the required payment confirmation, unless AutoSourceSA expressly approves another arrangement.
AutoSourceSA will provide the agreed delivery/collection arrangement and an estimated dispatch or delivery timeframe. Estimates may depend on supplier and courier performance, but this does not remove any statutory consumer right relating to agreed or reasonable delivery.
The separate Returns, Cancellation & Refund Policy forms part of these terms. Statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act and, where applicable, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act are not excluded.
If a part is genuinely a special-order item or is made/personalised to a customer's specifications, different statutory cancellation rules may apply. AutoSourceSA should identify that status before the customer finally commits to the order where reasonably possible.
The separate Warranty Policy applies. Any supplier/manufacturer warranty shown on an AutoSourceSA offer is additional to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The condition quoted should be disclosed before purchase. Used, reconditioned, rebuilt, remanufactured, grey-market or aftermarket status must not be represented as OEM/new where that is not accurate. Acceptance of a disclosed condition does not waive rights that the law does not permit a supplier to exclude.
Some automotive parts require professional diagnosis, programming, calibration, coding, fluid procedures or installation. Customers should follow manufacturer and supplier instructions and use appropriately competent installers. Incorrect installation, misuse or unauthorised alteration may affect a warranty claim where the law permits, but will not be used to defeat a valid statutory defect claim unrelated to that conduct.
Complaints should first be sent to with the request/order number, issue description and supporting evidence. AutoSourceSA will attempt to resolve the matter internally. This does not prevent a consumer from using rights or remedies available through the National Consumer Commission, a consumer tribunal, court or other competent body.
Orders, acceptances, invoices, receipts, notifications and other records may be created and retained electronically. Customers should download or retain transaction documents made available through the portal.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or liability that may not lawfully be excluded, including applicable Consumer Protection Act rights. Any limitation or allocation of risk must be interpreted consistently with South African consumer law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any mandatory consumer forum or jurisdiction rights.
